As a result, Industrial Filtration Market revenue expansion is anticipated to be fueled by growing prevalence of industries across the globe during the forecast period.
The Industrial Filtration Market segmentation, based on type, are liquid filtration (vacuum filtration, pressure filtration, polishing filtration and centrifugal filtration) and others. The liquid filtration segment held the majority share in 2022 contributing to around ~65-68% with respect to the Industrial Filtration Market revenue. Liquid filtration is the process of eliminating suspended solid particles, impurities, and pollutants from a fluid stream. It is a simple procedure that comprises passing the process liquid (in the form of slurries and suspensions) through a permeable filter medium and blocking and retaining the collected particles. The filter media has tiny, microscopic holes or pores that enable only the filtrate to pass through, leaving the undesired particles on the opposite side of the medium. Liquid filtration is used for purification, clarifying, separation, and particle removal in a variety of applications and industries.
The Industrial Filtration Market data has been bifurcated by media largely into filter cloth (vacuum belt and rubber belt) and others. The others segment dominated the market in 2022. Other materials include fiberglass, fiber paper, activated charcoal/carbon, metal, and others. With the wide range of applications and variation in ability and performance, varied filter media demand is expected to drive market growth.
The Industrial Filtration Market data has been bifurcated by end use largely into food & beverages, chemicals, petrochemicals, power generation, oil& gas, rubber & plastics, Bio-products, pharmaceuticals, metal & mining, battery materials & chemicals, industrial minerals, pulp & paper, and others. The battery chemicals & materials segment dominated the market in 2022. With rapid technological innovation and advancements, there has been an increasing use and significant rise in demand for battery materials and chemicals, particularly with the rapid adoption of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, as well as the boom in the electronics industry, which has significantly pushed demand for batteries, resulting in increased demand for filtration with a focus on superior quality and refinement. Filter presses are used to recover battery metal salts such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel. The extraction method of lithium, which is widely utilized in battery manufacture, is heavily reliant on filtration.
The Industrial Filtration Market data has been bifurcated by application largely into tower press (horizontal plates and vertical plates), vacuum belt filters (vertical oriented and horizontal oriented), filter press, centrifuge filter, LSF filter, drum filter, leaf filter, belt presses and others. The vacuum belt filters segment dominated the market in 2022. A vacuum belt filter is a type of continuous filtering system that uses a vacuum to separate solids and liquids. The vacuum belt filter-based separation technique uses a porous filter belt and vacuum suction to take out the liquid content while leaving the solid particles behind. A vacuum belt filter is used to filter liquids and dewater sludge. Gravity filtration with supplemental vacuum assistance is employed instead of hydrostatically acting filters. Larger throughput and better filter cake dewatering are feasible as a consequence.
