    Aquaculture Market October 2023- Pulmone, a food company based in Seoul has entered a partnership with BlueNalu, a cellular aquaculture startup in the US for commercializing cell-based seafood. The two companies agreed in 2020 in commercializing healthy cell-based seafood products that is sans environmental contaminants and genetic modifications. Cell-based seafood indeed is a very innovative food tech product which can sort worldwide environmental issues arising from worldwide seafood supply shortage, aquaculture, and fisheries.


    September 2023- Aquaconnect has recently announced its strategic extension in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal to strengthen its domestic presence. Its foray into the two new markets fortifies its presence over 6 key aquaculture production states which includes Gujarat, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. The move is in line with the company’s goal to optimize service offerings for allowing market access for the fisheries farmers for purchasing advanced farm input brands & become stronger in the value chain of pre-harvest aquaculture by tripling their AquaPartners network via year end. Through this extension the company plans in promoting sustainability and catalysing progress, contributing gradually to the larger growth of aquaculture within India.


    August 2023- ICAR-CCARI has lately collaborated with Fisheries Department in Goa on aquaculture capacity building. A 1-day demonstration program and training on aquaculture was held recently in Goa’s ICAR- CCARI in association with Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Goa. This program had showcased Tilapia culture, Indian carp culture, & Asian Seabass polyculture along with feeding management & water quality. The program was attended by about sixteen participants.
