With the launch of Canopy, Valeo claims to have created the first wiper that can cut CO2 emissions by 61% when compared to its wiper blade, which is typical of the majority of wiper blades sold in Europe. More than 80% of the materials used to make this rubber blade are recycled, renewable, or natural resources like cane sugar, vegetable oils, or carbon black from used tires.
Other parts of the canopy wiper blades have a higher percentage of recycled material; the metal structures can contain up to 15% recycled steel, and the end clips can contain up to 50% recycled plastic. It includes 95% of the fleet's vehicles in Europe.
The Canopy is printed using water-based inks that don't require solvents and is packaged entirely of cardboard. By the end of 2024, the company promises to remove single-use plastic packaging from all of its wiper blade ranges in Europe and replace it with cardboard packaging that is more environmentally friendly.

The enigmatic and visually arresting advertisements for the "Night Vision has Evolved" campaign showcase the cutting-edge qualities of Bosch wiper blades, which maximise nighttime visibility and improve safer nighttime driving.
Bosch's FOCUSTM and ENVISIONTM wiper blades are the first of their kind, with cutting-edge features that make driving at night and in bad weather safer. With the help of NightView and NightFocus technologies, which offer consistent wiping stability along the whole length of the blade for the best nighttime clarity, blur is minimised.
