November 2023- PassiveLogic, creator of the first platform for autonomous systems, on 4th November disclosed the full suite of software and hardware that allows autonomy for any controlled system. The results will lead to truly smart, autonomous buildings. Troy Harvey, the CEO and Founder of PassiveLogic, said that at present, buildings and industrial systems are one of the biggest decarbonization opportunities across the globe; they use nearly 68 percent of the world's energy, which is more than twice the complete transportation sector, and they are responsible for the biggest share of wasted energy because of ineffective control. He further added that they also stand as the world's biggest robotic challenge, with the largest ones swerving toward one million controllable sensors. The company has developed the technology to make buildings autonomous, allowing buildings to be 30 percent more energy efficient with system control optimization only.
With this new platform, PassiveLogic is empowering anyone to design and implement their autonomous system using the Quantum Standard, the first physics-based digital twin ontology that emulates and predicts a building's operational needs with real-time control at the edge. This ability is a fundamental requirement for unlocking the technology PassiveLogic calls 'generative autonomy', which advances artificial intelligence (AI) technology from monolithically trained, single-purpose applications to flexible, dynamic, general-purpose systems. Generative autonomy allows independent systems that beginners to experts can apply to various distinct domains in multipurpose ways. Harvey said that the products both democratize autonomous systems for all and boost energy efficiency, ESG, and climate impact. He further added that their work to get generative autonomy to the market grows AI further than its present limited scope and regulates it into the built and industrial world not just to resolve present market challenges but to reveal independence for everybody, developing a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future.
