A new DrillSIM Downhole model has been released by Drilling Systems, a provider of cutting-edge drilling simulation technology and a member of the 3t Energy Group, to offer realistic training for geothermal applications.
In a joint research effort funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the model has been used for the first time at the Drilling Simulator Celle (DSC), a research facility of Clausthal University of Technology (TUC) in Germany.
With the help of this downhole model, DrillSIM simulators, both new and old, will be able to conduct research and development more effectively. Delegates will be able to practice complicated operations like directional drilling, kick track, and trapped pipe in a remarkably accurate and realistic virtual environment.
Additional real-world data modeling, an advanced thermal and dynamic design, drill string vibration, a complicated 3D well path, and a greater emphasis on the conveyance of cuttings frequently seen in deep drilling operations are some of its new and improved main features.
