    October 2023

By December, Jindal Hunting Energy Services Pvt., a partnership between Jindal Saw Ltd. and Hunting Energy Services Pte., a prominent American technology company, expects to begin commercial production of patented connectors for pipes and tubes used by upstream oil and gas firms. With the intention of replacing the full $200 million worth of imported tubular goods from oil-producing nations, the joint venture opened its Rs 150 crore manufacturing facility in Nashik.

Hunting Energy offers patented software technology that is integrated into equipment to achieve threading and connecting pipes used in drilling shallow and deep oil wells.

With a threading capacity of 77,000 metric tonnes, this mill can supply all domestic demand, particularly that of Vedanta Ltd.'s Cairn Oil and Gas and the Oil and Natural Gas Corp., Oil India Ltd., and Oil India.

Jindal Hunting Energy Services says that the strength and endurance of pipelines are of utmost importance because failure is an expensive proposition if it occurs 6,000–7,000 metres down, where it cannot be rebuilt.

One of the top producers of large-diameter line pipe in the USA, Berg Pipe, was acquired by the firm for US$ 162 million, giving it 100% of the company.
