Thanks to a new AI-driven solution that ADNOC, AIQ, and SLB announced on Wednesday for reservoir analysis and field development, the energy industry's digital transformation can now happen more swiftly. The Advanced Reservoir (AR) 360 solution maximizes upstream exploration and operations while reducing operational energy consumption and emissions.

AR360 is a reservoir visualization and performance application that integrates all subsurface data into a single integrated system, using AI and automation to optimize the field development plan (FDP). AR360's optimization of the FDP can unlock more energy with lower emissions by finding the right balance between drilling new wells, enhancing the performance of existing wells, and optimizing injection and production parameters.

Through implementation in several of ADNOC's upstream operations, the technology has been developed. AR360 increased engineers' productivity by 75% when doing reservoir model reviews in their entirety while maintaining the predictability and quality of the models.

The Water Resources department started a Light, Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) survey on Tuesday as part of a proposal to build a dam across the Kadamanthodu river, a tributary of the Kabani, at Pulpally in Wayanad. The proposal was met with strong opposition from the local community and environmental organizations.

The Pulpally and Mullankolly districts, which are bordered by Kerala and Karnataka, endure summer drought-like conditions. The goal of this project is to improve those circumstances. The LiDAR analysis is a continuation of a survey that was conducted three months ago by the Geological Survey of India. The topography of the proposed dam site with respect to mean sea level (MSL) and river features such as creeks and springs will be marked.
