October 2023- Kinshofer GmbH, Germany, and HGT Hydraulikgreifer-Technologie GmbH, also based in Germany, revealed that they have attested a definite contract to merge. As per the contract, Kinshofer will acquire most shares of HGT. For nearly 50 years, Kinshofer has produced tools for truck-mounted cranes, skid steer loaders, and excavators. Earlier acquisitions Demarec B.V. in Holland, Liftall Inc. in Canada, Auger Torque Group in the United Kingdom, the Doherty Group in New Zealand, Solesbee's LLC in the U.S., RF System AB in Sweden, and more were crucial targets of this development, as per the company statement. As per the press release, the HGT acquisition is a substantial step for Kinshofer in two ways. First, the businesses say it strengthens Kinshofer's portfolio of material processing tools and attachments, and second, it enhances Kinshofer's distribution channels in "markets where HGT is strong." HGT, a family business established in 1983, has a focus on the development and marketing of material handling attachments, particularly for scrap processing and the handling of bulk materials for excavators and material handlers. HGT attributes its accomplishment to co-owner Helge Schwark and his team's 40 years of expertise. With a constrained and well-educated labor force, HGT says it will continue to build and sell its products across the globe via its distribution channels, with other Kinshofer Group companies adding HGT products to their selection.
