    Hitachi Astemo and AMD have partnered to power a new stereo-format, forward-looking camera. With AI object detection, this camera is intended to improve vision capabilities and increase the safety of future-generation vehicles. It is intended for use with adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking.


    The camera can identify objects across 120 degrees, a 3X wider angle than its previous-generation cameras, thanks to the stereo and monocular image processing offered by the AMD Automotive XA Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC. This increases overall safety.


    The XA AU10P and XA AU15P processors, designed for sophisticated driver-assistance system sensors, are the two new members of the automobile XA ArtixTM UltraScale+TM family, which they are introducing to meet the growing demand for additional edge sensors and 3D surround-view camera systems in the automobile sector.
