August 2023- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has broadened its 'Certified Cargo Screening Program' to allow more air cargo shippers to join the secure supply chain, while improving the speed and security of shipments. Supply chain partners now have the choice to go through training to gain Certified Cargo Screening Facility status. The Certified Cargo Screening Program makes sure that air cargo travels more rapidly and securely through the supply chain. TSA is actively promoting indirect air carriers, manufacturing plants, assembly plants, shippers, warehouses and distribution centres to apply for and become a Certified Cargo Screening Facility.

The guidance concentrates on procedures concerning high-risk cargo and screening, including preventative security actions aimed at staff members to mitigate the dangers presented by insiders.
