October 2023- Apollo Micro Systems Limited, an eminent company in the Indian Defence sector for manufacturing electronic products, designing hardware, integrating weapons, and integrating platforms, has intentions to establish a cutting-edge defence equipment production facility in Hardware Park, Hyderabad. By doing so, the company will enhance its present infrastructure with an additional area of 3,00,000 Sq ft, creating a manufacturing facility for defence electronics and electro-mechanical products capable of handling large-scale production. This facility will include a clean room dedicated to the production of Inertial Systems, RF Systems, and Space Applications, and will be furnished with comprehensive Environmental Test Facilities, including an EMI-EMC facility, which will receive accreditation from NABL Laboratories.


June 2023- To advance academic quality, scientific research, and innovation in the field of defense electronics, Graphic Era Deemed University (GEDU) and the Defence Electronics Application Laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organization (or DRDO) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The purpose of this agreement is in promoting cooperation and synergy between the students and higher education-related scientific research. As part of the project, GEDU and DEAL will pool their resources, industry-focused innovations, and knowledge, which will help the defense electronics sector grow and create significant impact.


The Defense Research & Development Organization's director of DEAL, LC Mangal, and vice chancellor of GEDU, Narpinder Singh, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The following individuals attended the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony at MEU: Ajay Malik, the Scientific and Group Director of DEAL; Rakesh Bhardwaj; SS Nabiyal (Scientist F); DP Tripathi (Scientist E); and other officials. Dr. D. Joshi, the Registrar of Graphic Era Deemed University; Professor Dr. Irfanul Hasan, the Head of the Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering; Dr. Abhay Sharma, Professor Dr. Shalini Singh, and Dr. Varun Mishra from the Graphic Era Deemed University; and other officials.
