On Nov. 15, 2023-Â SUSI Partners (Switzerland), an institutional investment group, announced a development deal for two large-scale solar-plus-storage hybrid power plants in Chile. Hybrid PV plants in Chile with 900MWh of BESS financed by institutional investor SUSI. The group is focused on investing in sustainable infrastructure. SUSI Partners Energy Transition Fund (SETF) will develop the plants in Chile with locally-headquartered developer BIWO.
On Oct. 17, 2023- Siemens Energy announced it would deliver a hybrid grid stabilization and battery storage plant at Shannonbridge in Ireland. Asset in Shannonbridge comprises a synchronous condenser and battery combined into a single grid connection. The hybrid energy storage system will have a capacity of around 160 megawatts/hour. The order will generate around €85m for Siemens Energy, and work has already begun on site.
