LED Materials Market
November 2023- An international team of scientists led by Rice University's Matteo Pasquali has won a USD 4.1 million grant to optimize carbon nanotube This process could help drive the transition to green energy by providing more sustainable alternatives to materials dependent on heavy industry. The award is a joint effort by The Kavli Foundation, with a USD1.9 million Kavli Exploration Award in Nanoscience for Sustainability and Rice's Carbon Hub, which contributed an additional USD2.2 million. Carbon nanotubes, or CNTs, are hollow cylindrical nanoscale structures made from carbon atoms. Their properties ⎯ are excellent carriers of heat and electricity; very strong, though lightweight, and with large surface area, ⎯ make them useful in electronics, biosensors, batteries, and more. In theory, they constitute an ideal net-zero end use for hydrocarbons such as natural gas, with the added benefit of hydrogen as a reaction byproduct. However, large-scale CNT synthesis still poses a challenge, one that Pasquali and his team hope their project will help address.
December 2023- Two years after making history by becoming the first Israeli company in the S&P 500 index, renewable energy company SolarEdge will lose its spot in the prestigious index in about two weeks. Following the expected change on December 18, there won't be a single Israeli company remaining in the index. Since the beginning of the year, SolarEdge shares have fallen by 71%, and the company, which previously reached a value close to USD20 billion and held the position of the largest Israeli company in the world in terms of market capitalization, is now trading at a valuation of only USD4.7 billion.
December 2023- CTP, Europe's largest listed developer, owner, and manager of industrial and logistics properties by gross lettable area (GLA), has so far concluded lease deals with a total area of over 400,000 sqm for space in industrial properties in the Czech Republic in 2023, including more than ten lease contracts for premises larger than 10,000 sqm. The largest transaction was a contract to renew the lease of almost 54,000 sqm of space in CTPark Bor. The developer continues to build new industrial space across the Czech Republic and is confident that the Czech industrial property market will continue to grow.
