BASF, a chemical manufacturer with headquarters in Germany, has partnered with eco-friendly backpack firm Baesiq to introduce a new line of eco-friendly bags. The brand "pinqponq" of baesiq is where the new line of two-in-one bags, also known as "Pendik," is sold.
It is manufactured using BASF's mass-balanced polyamide, known as "Ultramid Ccycled," which has a much lower carbon dioxide (CO2) footprint.
The term "Ultramid Ccycled" refers to the utilization of substitute raw materials generated through the chemical recycling of discarded plastic. The production of this bag, which takes place in Ludwigshafen, Germany, enables the two businesses to completely replace their use of fossil fuels by using BASF-supplied pyrolysis oil made from used tires.

Evonik is expanding production of polyamide elastomers in China. In the market for new energy vehicles (NEVs), Evonik is also developing uses for its Vestamid polyamide (PA) 12 resin. For internal combustion engine vehicles, PA 12 has a long history of use in fuel lines due to its chemical and thermal characteristics.
Other Evonik market highlights at Chinaplas include battery cooling lines built with Vestamid polyamide (PA) 12 that are lighter than metal or rubber, more economical, and have high cold-impact resistance over a long lifespan.

Toray Industries and Honda Motor have a contract in place to work together to develop chemical recycling technologies for glass-fiber reinforced polyamide (PA) 6 parts retrieved from scrap automobiles. The partners have started testing a method that involves depolymerizing raw caprolactam using subcritical water.
