    • August 2023: the US FDA green-lighted Aspen Neuroscience's ANPD001 stem cell therapy for repairing damaged nerve cells in Parkinson's disease patients in August 2023. The open-label Phase 1/2a study will examine the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of ANPD001 across a range of doses in patients with moderate to severe Parkinson's disease. Dopaminergic neuron function restoration in PD patients is the ultimate aim of ANPD001. There are three phases in the production of stem cell therapy.




    • July 2023: Abeona Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical firm with a lead medicine called EB-101, announced that it had raised $25 million from a select group of current investors. The funding will be utilized to get the company ready for the introduction of EB-101 and the filing of the BLA. EB-101 is an autologous engineered cell therapy for the treatment of recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. Due to the drug's usage in treating a rare paediatric ailment, the company can apply to the FDA for a priority review voucher (PRV) after the BLA has been granted.`




    • May 2023: the United States-based company StemCures plans to open the largest stem cell production factory in India, a lab in the state of Telangana that will specialize on stem cell treatment. According to a press statement issued by the Telangana government on Wednesday, the facility would be built in stages, with a total investment potential of over USD 54 million and a potential job pool of around 150 persons. The proposed facility would utilize cutting-edge American technology and know-how to produce high-quality stem cell products at competitive prices for the treatment of a wide range of life-threatening diseases.
