    • July 2023: Coloplast, a Danish manufacturer of medical supplies, will acquire Kerecis, an Icelandic manufacturer of biologics wound-care products derived from fish carcasses, in July 2023. This transaction's total value could reach $1.3 billion. In a press release, Coloplast declared its intention to enter the U.S. wound-care industry via this acquisition. Kerecis has developed and patented a "clinically differentiated, sustainable, and scalable" technology platform based on intact fish skin, which retains a resemblance to human skin and requires minimal processing. Thousands of patients have already been assisted by this method, which has been the subject of multiple clinical investigations.




    • April 2023: MTF Biologics is a global nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives by respecting donated gifts, assisting patients, and advancing the science of tissue transplantation. In April 2023, AlloPatch Pliable Meshed was added to MTF Biologics' portfolio of superior, innovative, and effective wound care solutions.     • October 2023: DuPont, a provider of technologically advanced materials and solutions, introduced its new DuPont Liveo MG 7-9960 silicone soft skin adhesive (SSA) in October 2023. The new adhesive has been designed for use in advanced wound care dressings and for attaching medical devices to the skin for extended wear time and delicate removal. DuPont Liveo is a medical device silicone technology provider. On the market, these technologies have been utilized extensively for advanced wound care and scar therapies. The new adhesive has excellent repositionability, enhanced wear performance, design flexibility, improved conformability, and non-traumatic removal.
