LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. Released Hi-MO 6 Line of Solar Panels in November 2022

By Garvit Vyas , 13 December, 2022

On 2nd November 2022, a company based in China, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. or LONGi Group, formerly Xi'an Longi Silicon Materials Corporation, is a major Chinese manufacturer of photovoltaic solar modules and a developer of solar power projects has announced a release of Hi-MO 6, a new module for the market of distributed generation. Hi-MO 6 achieves 22.8% efficiency in mass manufacturing using hybrid passivated back contact (HPBC) cells.

According to Longi, HPBC cell-equipped modules have better power degradation performance and can produce more energy under high-temperature and low-irradiation conditions. Hi-MO 6 modules have shown a significant power generation advantage over PERC products in global power generation simulations, with an average power generation increase of up to 10% in typical scenarios.

The Hi-MO 6 consists of four series: Explorer, Scientist, Guardian, and Artist. Each series is available in 72-, 66-, 60-, and 54-cell configurations, and they are all in Longi's standard M10 (182mm) wafer size. A smart optimizer can also be pre-installed as an option. The four series' power levels are as follows: Artist: unknown; Guardian: unknown; Scientist: unknown; Explorer: 570 W. There are numerous colour tints available for the Artist series.

"Longi has fostered industry growth throughout the years with top-notch technical innovation. The world's energy structure has improved primarily due to the bestselling Hi-MO series modules. According to Dennis She, VP of Longi, "The Hi-MO 6 is another significant step in promoting energy equity." Longi intends to work with additional partners in order to take part in the new energy revolution, offer clean energy that is equally accessible to everyone, and hasten the development and transformation of planet's energy system.
