By Rahul Gotadki , 30 January, 2023
Smoking is an enemy of health still popular among the masses. Smoking is addictive and kills, but it is challenging when it comes to quitting it.
According to reports, tobacco kills more than 8 million people annually, including smokers and partial smokers who inhale the smoke indirectly. Tobacco is also the leading cause of disability and death in the United States.
If we see the records, globally, smoking is gradually becoming a thing of the recent past, but the survey says the smoking habit persists commonly. Recently, some regions have seen a rise in the tobacco industry. As per the data, the highest smoking rates are found in Southeast Asia and in the Balkan region of Europe. In Southeast Asian countries, the smoking rate is very high for men at 76.20 and low for women at 3.60 percent. If we look at Spanish, it also has similarly high levels, with 42 percent of use. Germany also has 40 percent of the service, as per the reports.
And the survey says that if this recent trend remains unchanged, there will probably be an estimated 1.1 billion smokers by 2025. Surveys also predicted that 8.5 percent and 11.7 percent will smoke in 2023 if the current trends remain unchanged.
