Using a special 3D concrete printing ingredient from Heidelberg Materials, the largest 3D printed structure in Europe in Heidelberg, Germany is now being built. Beginning at the end of March 2023, construction on the building will commence; it should be done by the end of July 2023. When completed, the commercial building by KRAUSGRUPPE, which will measure around 54 metres long, 11 metres wide, and 9 metres high, will house a data centre.
Heidelberg Materials will contribute 450t of I.tech 3D, a material made exclusively for 3D concrete printing that is 100 per cent recyclable, to the project.
