    Latest Company Updates:

    May 2023

Recently, the Netherlands-based Infalfa Roof System and the auto component producer Gabriel India announced a technological partnership to create sunroofs for automakers in the Indian market. In order to establish a new manufacturing facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India with the name Inalfa Gabriel Sunroof Systems (IGSS), Gabriel and Inalfa would jointly invest Rs 170 crore.

In the first quarter of 2024, the IGSS facility will be operational. In the initial phase, the plant will be able to produce 20,000 sunroofs annually.  The startup will also aim to supply sunroofs to other OEMs, including Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Maruti Suzuki.

There are chances that future Kia Seltos may feature identical sunroofs since Hyundai and Kia will be the first OEMS to receive them from the IGSS plant.

    March 2023

Yachiyo India Manufacturing, a major supplier to Honda Cars India (HCIL) in Japan, will localize the single-pane sunroof setup on the Japanese OEM's next midsize SUV that will go on sale later this year. Recently, images of the Honda SUV's testing in India were captured.

The eagerly anticipated SUV from Honda Cars India (Codename: 3US) won't go on sale until Q2 FY2024 (July–September 2023), but it will begin with a fully imported sunroof. As the present supplier of the sunroof on its best-selling model, the Honda City, which is now being sold in the nation, HCIL is most likely to obtain this high-value component from its equivalent in China.

The Tier-1 supplier also provides Maruti Suzuki India with in-cabin fabric sunroofs at its factory in Tapukara, Rajasthan, which is close to HCIL's manufacturing facility.
