    In Japan, Panasonic has been working on the development of pure hydrogen fuel cells, and the company plans to expand into China. The China International Import Expo, which will take place in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 this year, will include relevant items and plans.


    In April of last year, Panasonic began the Panasonic Green Impact campaign with the goal of achieving net-zero indoor emissions by 2050. In order to accomplish this, the business has been working on a fuel cell dubbed Ene Farm that produces heat and power through a chemical interaction between hydrogen and oxygen.


    A significant pure hydrogen fuel cell solution verification study is also underway at the Kusatsu plant. With solar panels erected over 4,000 square meters, the project has a total area of 6,000 square meters. It runs 99 pure hydrogen fuel cells and rechargeable batteries with a total capacity of 1.1 megawatt hours.

    UK-based Intelligent Energy has introduced the 'IE-DRIVE 100' hydrogen fuel cell system for cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs). A net peak power of up to 110kW is provided by the system in a small, engine-shaped structure.


    The 'IE-DRIVE' hydrogen fuel cell stack at the system's core is one of the most potent fuel cell stacks installed into passenger automobiles, with the ability to produce 155 kW of zero-emission power. The system has been built as a collection of interconnected modules to provide flexibility in integration into various vehicles. The heat exchanger's size can be decreased thanks to IE's direct water injection cooling technology, which also allows for a more compact stack design.
