    • October 2023- BorealisAG (Vienna, Austria) and TotalEnergies SE (Paris) have revealed the startup of their Baystar joint venture's new 625,000 metric ton-per-year Borstar polyethylene (PE) facility, which more than doubles the present production capacity at Baystar's site in Bayport, Texas. The latest USD 1.4 billion facility finishes the associates' incorporated petrochemicals venture, including the grown Bayport PE facility and the ethane cracker at the TotalEnergies Platform in Port Arthur, Texas. The latest PE facility, known as Bay 3, enhances the Baystar site's net manufacturing to more than one million tons per year, including two legacy polyethylene production plants. Bay 3 has the state-of-the-art patented Borstar® 3G technology licensed in North America for the first time. Borstar technology offers advanced value-added polymers with improved sustainability by providing lightweight and the integration of immense quantities of post-consumer recycled materials in a range of end products, catering to the energy, infrastructure, and consumer products industries.

    • October 2023- Baystar(Bayport Polymers LLC) introduces the latest period in high-performance polyethylene (PE) production and improved sustainability with the startup of its new Bay 3 polyethylene facility. The latest facility is the first of its kind in North America, getting patented Borstar technology from Borealis and more than doubling Baystar's manufacturing capacity in Pasadena, TX. The Borstar technology gets a changing tactic to fabrication plasticity for constructors and converters looking out for a wide variety of highly customized products for lighter, more efficient, more flexible, and more durable plastics.

    • In December 2022, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) unveiled HDPE T3K01B under the Trucircle product range as part of its commitment to enhance plastics circular economy- a high-density polyethylene with mechanically recycled content (R-HDPE). According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), this material was specifically developed for inflatable molded engine oil and lubricant packages. The end-of-life material contains approximately thirty percent mechanically recycled plastics. Moreover, it explained that this effort fastens the processing of plastic packaging waste life cycle achievement in the automotive services market (for example, R-HDPE) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Abdulla Al-Otaibi, GM for Engineering Thermoplastics and Market Solutions, highlighted Sabic’s commitment to speeding up the transition to after-sales solutions that enhance the circular economy in the automotive sector.
