On Oct. 10, 2023 Epirus, a California-based tech company, announced that it would deliver a high-power microwave counter-drone prototype to the Army for government testing by the end of the year. The contract was signed in January 2023 to deliver four prototype systems to the United States Army.
On Oct. 09, 2023 Anduril Industries, an autonomous and unmanned aerial systems provider, introduced Anvil-M, the ultimate counter-drone kit for neutralizing smaller UAS threats. On Sep. 18, 2023 DHS (Department of Homeland Security) announced completing the testing of Sentrycs counter-UAS solution. On Sep. 03, 2023 India launched the world's only counter-drone tech, Indrajaal, an advanced drone defense technology in the presence of Uttarakhand Governor Lt. Gen. (retd) Gurmit Singh. Indrajaal is an autonomous wide-area anti-drone/ counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS).
It is the world's only anti-drone system capable of protecting against micro, mini, small, large, and extra-large drones. It would strengthen India's position in the defense technology landscape. The development comes against the backdrop of India's efforts in encountering surging hostile UAV activity and smuggling of weapons & narcotics across international borders.
