Muehlhan Wind Service (MWS), a company that installs turbines, has purchased the bulk of Renewable Oil Services (ROS). In the UK and Ireland, ROS specializes in gearbox oil and hydraulic oil exchanges for wind turbines, both onshore and offshore.

According to the company, the acquisition of Renewable Oil Services is in line with Muehlhan Wind Service's strategic goal of growing its knowledge and offerings in the wind energy sector and securing its place in the crucial UK market. Muehlhan Wind Service is now able to provide its clients with complete gearbox maintenance and oil exchange services thanks to the addition of Renewable Oil Services to its portfolio.

Under the direction of its current management group, Renewable Oil Services will carry on as a stand-alone business using the same name and logo.

More than 100,000 products are now available for purchase on GE Vernova's enlarged online marketplace, which also sells turbines made by competitors. According to GE, the store will specialize in "spare parts" for onshore wind turbines, "including parts for all major wind turbine OEMs."

The online marketplace will also offer a variety of office supplies, safety equipment, and tools used in the wind industry. After a competitor manufacturer introduced Covento, an online marketplace for wind industry parts, in 2021, GE announced the opening of its own online store. France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and Denmark are the five European markets where the Danish turbine giant's digital marketplace is presently accessible.

The aftermarket for onshore and offshore wind, solar, storage, and power-to-x was previously referred to by Vestas as a "multi-billion-euro segment" of the renewable energy industry.
